From Khalid
This is a modest thankful letter from a family of a young boy with special need. The boy's name is Mahmoud,he lives with his big family in Azza camp in bethlehem.
the UN used to cover half the fees for his private school,it doesn't any more due to finincial problems, the family had to pay all the money or little Mahmoud would be not able to join school any more and have the opportunity to improve his difficult case.
It was and it is you who have been offering this boy the chance to learn, overcome his mental problems by paying his private fees.
from the deep of our hearts we thank you for your big hearts, generosity and understanding our basic needs under these tough unfair conditions the palestinian people facing.
Thank you very much,God bless you all.

From: Khalid Azzeh Refugee Camp
To:GPHRC our friends in Scotland,
today i went to visit a poor needy family in my camp, the purpose of my
visit was to give this family some fund[400pound]you sent to support the
study of their little boy Mahmoud who goes to a special school for people
of special needs.
the costs of a studying year for little Mahmoud are 4000 shekels, the UN
pays half and the family pays the other half.this family is poor that they
can't afford the money.
the parents told me that the UN will not be able to pay its share, and they
were seriously thinking not to send their little Mahmoud to the school.
your generous gift has solved this problem temporary, little Mahmoud can go to school now like other kids.
it's you and your help that brought back the smile to this family, little
Mahmoud is grateful to you.
thank you very much for everything you have been doing to us.
Khalid .
I'm not really sure how to say this, but you have changed my life today. I'm trying to keep the bigger picture, trying to remind myself that it's only money and that every minute I spend worrying about it is a minute I'll regret down the line when I'm looking back on this remarkable time. I learned today that it's ok to ask for help. Things are going to work out. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Faraj and I were talking on the phone the other night (he typically calls me around 2am to hash out his heart's worries!) But this last couple of weeks, I've felt that I was probably doing that too. When my computer died, I went to spend the night at his house to get some work done. It was a really nice break from spending my nights alone, actually. But on the walk back to my flat the next afternoon, everything I saw, every building, rock and tree seemed to stand out, separate and vivid like I'd somehow broken through a haze that's been keeping me bound up since I returned to Nablus. I knew better than to assume that it would always be so colorful, so perfect as that single moment, but it was a stark and wonderful contrast to how I'd been feeling just a day before. Faraj asked me what I had done, what had made it change. I told him I'd been asking myself that very same question, and I'll be damned if I will ever have an answer. We decided that it's not something you control or influence. You can fight the current, or you can give yourself to it, and see where life takes you. Today, it, and you, have taken me safely to calmer waters.
So that's it. We love and appreciate you all very much. We will make you all very proud, and we'll never stop working. It feels good to know in the deepest place of my heart that I am truly not alone. Thank you for everything.
Yours respectfully and sincerely,
mark t.
Thank you again for everything! I'll be in touch with you soon. All my love.
